"Frustrated netizens criticize senior film makers like me"

(Jan 28, 2017, DG): Veteran Malayalam film maker Sathyan Anthikkad had to endure harsh criticisms from online platforms following the release of his latest movie Jomonte Suvisheshangal.

Unfazed by the tirade, this confident film maker is sure about the positive impact the movie is going to make at the Kerala box office.

"I was sure that our 'real audience' would accept the movie with open hands. Few frustrated people vent out their anger through online platforms. These people derive sadistic pleasure from such acts. It is a mental illness. Such people target senior film makers like me and I have been there many times before", he said while speaking to Deepika Online.

"Jomonte Suvisheshangal has improved its box office collections and this is my reply to online bashers", he added.
