CBI ready to investigate Jishnu case

(New Delhi, Dec 5, 2017, DG): The CBI has informed the supreme court that it is willing to take up the sensational Jishnu Prannoy case.

Earlier, the CBI was of the opinion that Jishnu case was not very important and therefore an investigation by the agency unnecessary.

Meanwhile, the court criticized the CBI heavily for delaying the decision. "Dont you thing such a long delay would affect the evidences ?", the court asked.

The State government had firmy rooted for a CBI investigation in the case. The government had informed the court about a letter written to the central government demanding the same.

After this, the court sought the centre's opinion in the matter. Later, the central government informed the court that there is no problem in the CBI taking over the case.

The CBI was compelled to take up the case in this context.
